Dell Streak 7 Tablet Review

free dell streak 7 giveaway reviewDell is launching it's new Streak 7 tablet and we took it for a test run. What makes the Streak 7 stand out from other Tablets is that it's the first to run on T Mobile's 4G network. I did some speed test and sometimes I was able to download data twice as quickly on the Streak tablet as oppose to other tablets that are running on the 3G network. Practically speaking that means YouTube videos will download more quickly and play more smoothly. But keep in mind that 4G coverage is still spotty at best and even within in 4G zones your speeds will vary.

The Streak is Android powered and runs Froyo (2.2) out of the box. It has a dual-core 1 GHz processor Tegra 2 featuring T-Mobile HSPA+ connectivity up to 21 Mbps downstream. It has a 5 mega pixel camera and 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera. The tablet weights under a pound and has a 7 inch WVGA display.

The Dell Streak uses a capacitor touch screen that was very responsive, it moves quickly and smoothly and responds to taps and swipes. We noticed a problem with the viewing angle when looking at the Streak in portrait mode, you lose focus very quickly if you turn to the left or right which can lead to eye strain. What will give the Streak a big advantage over it's competitors is it's price, it costs hundreds less than the competition.
